Vinton's "Big Read" Project
Big Read is a new initiative led by the Vinton Public Library to celebrate the arts and humanities and strengthen community connections by inviting everyone to read the same book and participate in a variety of community activities related to the themes of the book. This year's Big Read is focused on the excellent book, "Bewilderment", by Richard Powers. Free copies are available at the library and other locations around town. The Guild is participating as one partner in the Big Read initiative, along with Benton County Conservation and the Palace Theater.

NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. In addition, local supporters include the Charles and Helen Yundt Charitable Foundation and Friends of the Vinton Public Library.
