Kelsey McWilliams
I grew up in Traer, Iowa with one of the best art teachers, Mrs. Betts. She could see the potential in me from an early age. She pushed me to continue art classes. I enrolled in all available art classes during my high school and college years. I am currently based in Vinton, Iowa. My career as an Activity Director has given me the chance to embrace all my artistic interests. Being an Activities Director allows you to make a real impact on the quality of people’s lives by providing enriching activities such as art. I use many different mediums from Acrylic, Watercolor, Gouche, Digital Art, Poetry, and Photography. My interest in art stems from my experiences with mental health challenges. Art invites us to take a closer look at ourselves, feel deeply, and experience healing. Through its vibrant colors and unique shapes, we discover not just beauty, but also the exciting possibility of transforming ourselves and others. One of my biggest achievements is being featured on the Iowa Storm Chasing Network's social media page with one of my photographs.
